Election 2012: Get Live Results for California Props & Races
Like in June, KCET's Ballot Brief will provide visitors with real-time election results online. We'll provide data for all 11 propositions and candidates for state and federal offices (California's Assembly and State Senate, U.S. Senator, Congress, and President -- to the latter, it will show you if counties went for Obama or Romney).
Results will begin surfacing shortly after 8 p.m. PST and are usually updated often by the Secretary of State throughout the first several hours (to find them, check the Ballot Brief homepage Tuesday evening for links). Because early voting has gained such popularity in California, the outcome of close races will likely be announced days, if not weeks later. Our live results pages will continue to update until the Secretary of State certifies the election, which can take up to 28 days.
For other races, our Ballotwire blog will update you on key local and national races, from Measure J in L.A. County to the presidential contest. On TV, we'll air BBC's live election coverage beginning at 3 p.m. PST.
