Kenneth Ramos
Kenneth Ramos is Iipay Indian from the Barona Band of Mission Indians and was raised on the Barona Indian Reservation in East San Diego County. Kenneth moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in American Indian studies in 2013. Since then, Ramos has remained active with the local American Indian community, working with the Red Circle Project at APLA Health & Wellness, L.A. County's only HIV/STD Prevention program for American Indians, and the American Indian Community Council. Ramos now works as the Retention of American Indians Now! (RAIN!) project director at UCLA and enjoys running and traveling in his free time. He plans to apply to graduate school in the near future with ultimate goal of promoting art and wellness in tribal communities.
