I was giving a short lecture yesterday at the Art Center College of Design when I noticed one student in the middle (not the back) scrolling on his iPhone.
He needed to perform to stay solvent and to stay relevant. Both of which killed him. His genius rose above us all, and our hands grabbed at him, trying to pull him down to our level.
Every country has a day set aside to honor their war dead, but it should be everyday that we honor them for their courage, loyalty and commitment to their countries.
