Burbank, Calif. - July 12, 2017 - KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, continues to bring viewers the highest quality international programming with two new global drama series 800 WORDS and IN THE CLUB premiering this fall bringing viewers into the worlds of families in the U.K. and Australia going through different life stages.

The Australian comedy-drama 800 WORDS, which depicts a recently widowed Sydney newspaper columnist ready to make a fresh start with his teenage children by moving to New Zealand, starts Mon., August 7 at 9 p.m. on KCET in Southern California. A second new series, IN THE CLUB, tells the story about six pregnant women and their partners all brought together by life-changing experiences of imminent parenthood, debuting Mon., August 7 at 10 p.m. on KCET in Southern California.

Erik Thomson plays George Turner, a man who once skated through life but is now stumbling. When his wife dies, he makes a rash decision to move his kids away from Sydney to the town of Weld, New Zealand where Turner spent his youth. When the transition proves to be more difficult than he anticipated, George and his grieving family find themselves facing an uncertain future.

IN THE CLUB Series Premiere Mon., August 7 at 10 p.m. on KCET in Southern California.

Starring Hermione Norris, Jill Halfpenny, Katherine Parkinson and Will Mellor, IN THE CLUB begins with Diane and husband Rick who are expecting their first child after being told they would never conceive. But a late scan reveals more than they bargained for and with pressure on unemployed Rick to provide for his family, drastic measures are taken. Meanwhile, 15-year-old Rosie is hiding her pregnancy from her dad, the school and even her baby's mystery father.
