"Creative Inspirations" Series Profiling Notable Artists in

Photography, Illustration and Storytelling

Burbank, Calif. - April 7, 2014 - National

independent transmedia network KCETLink and online education company lynda.com

have announced a new broadcast initiative featuring documentaries from the

lynda.com "Creative Inspirations" series, a collection of films showcasing creative leaders, inventors and experts in their fields.

With introductions by

lynda.com founders Lynda Weinman and Bruce Heavin, the series will premiere on

April 30, 2014 at 8 p.m. PST on KCET and 8 p.m. EST on Link TV.  The first documentary, "Jerry & Maggie:

This Is Not Photography," features the surreal photography of groundbreaking

husband-and-wife artists Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor. Upcoming

documentaries will showcase the work of award-winning multimedia

journalist/producer Richard Koci Hernandez and prolific designer/illustrator

Stefan G. Bucher.

forefront of the next generation of journalism. Retracing his steps, Richard

Koci Hernandez shares how his passion for visual storytelling began with a trip

to the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite as a child. Thirty years and three

newspapers later, Koci is known for inventing techniques on the fly, often

teaching himself new software moments before completing a project and

incorporating fresh ideas with stunning results.

laser-focused, Bucher reveals his "monastic" work habits, which often find him

walking the streets of Pasadena in the middle of the night, and explains how

his work aims to "reverse the chaos of the world."
