KCETLink Wins Three Golden Mike Awards for 'SoCal Connected'

Jan. 25, 2014 - KCETLink, the national independent public media

organization, is pleased to announce that it has been honored with three Golden

Mike Awards® by the Radio & Television News Association of Southern

California (RTNA).

SoCal Connected, KCET's nightly news program, garnered three

at the awards ceremony at the Universal Hilton in Universal City on Jan. 25,

2014, the Golden Mike Awards® recognize excellence in broadcast

journalism.  Last year, SoCal Connected received four

Golden Mikes.

politics and accusations of scandal. The investigation found questionable

expenditures, big loans and council members making up to $1,500 an hour.
