Black Out

A summer afternoon in 2003 saw the loss of nearly all transmission lines in New York, a total black out. Yul speaks to Rick Gonzales, Chief Operating Officer at NYISO (New York Independent System Operator) about what happened that day and looks at the technology they use to monitor the whole of New York’s power systems.
