Re-Opening Plans | September 22

Season 1 Episode 237

On the September 22 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss election preparedness, the latest from Disney and the tourism industry, and Orange County’s school re-opening plans.

As political ads and campaign mailers become more prominent, election season is about to kick into high gear, says Libby Denkmann. She shares tips on what voters can do to prepare.

The steep decline in travel to Southern California during the pandemic has impacted the region’s tourism economy. Mike Roe reports on how Disney is preparing to re-open its gates and Monica Bushman talks about losses to luxury hotels.

Orange County received the green light to re-open schools for in-person instruction due to low coronavirus positivity rates. Carla Javier reports on how this could be executed.
