Three-fourths of Americans surveyed in a Pew Study believe that the influence of religion is declining when to comes to politics. This could be due to more people self-identifying as unaffiliated, agnostic, or atheist. However, half of those surveyed believe churches should be more vocal when it comes to political issues.
