In partnership with the Autry Museum of the American West and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, KCETLink Media Group celebrated the kickoff of a new season of acclaimed arts and culture show ARTBOUND with an exclusive event that gave guests a sneak peek of the premiere episode, CHARLES LUMMIS: REIMAGINING THE AMERICAN WEST, on May 7, 2016. This event gave guests an in-depth look into the life and legacy of Los Angeles icon Charles Fletcher Lummis. The event was held at the Southwest Museum of the American Indian and featured a reception where guests could view exclusive clips from the documentary. Following the reception, guests were treated to a panel discussion hosted by KCETís Senior Vice President of Content Development and production Juan Devis. Devis was joined by the documentary's subjects and Lummis experts including Suzanne Lummis (writer, poet, and granddaughter of Charles Lummis), William Deverell (Director of the Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West), and Liza Posas (Head Librarian, Braun Research Library/Archivist, Autry Museum of the American West).
