A new slate of acclaimed international dramas featuring strong leading female characters will premiere on KCET starting on Monday, January 23.

Kicking off the new additions to the KCET programming schedule is British crime drama "The Coroner," about a woman who returns to a sleepy seaside town that she left as a teenager to take on the role of town coroner. Acting as an advocate for the deceased, she investigates unexplained deaths with a local detective who just happens to be her childhood sweetheart. "The Coroner" will be followed by the premiere of the Australian legal drama, "Janet King," about a senior prosecutor who finds herself suddenly thrust into the spotlight on a controversial case after returning from maternity leave.

Then arriving on Sunday, February 5 is the premiere of the stunning period drama, "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," following a glamorous detective as she sashays through jazz clubs and fights injustice with her dagger-sharp wit.
