Nobel scientist: achieving HIV remission may be feasible
More than 30 years after she identified one of the most pernicious viruses to infect humankind, Françoise Barré-Sinoussi, who shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering HIV, is retiring. Barré-Sinoussi says even though a cure may never be found, she's confident that at some point, patients may no longer need indefinite treatment. NewsHour's Megan Thompson reports.
