Since its inception in 1994, the Cinema Series welcomes movie fans to enjoy preview screenings of the best of Hollywood, independent and festival films prior to their release in theaters or streaming.

Celebrating three decades of great new films.

The Cinema Series is held on Tuesday evenings at the Landmark Westwood in Los Angeles. Each preview screening is followed by an in-depth conversation with the filmmakers, actors, or other special guests.

The virtual Cinema Series screenings of new films are presented periodically and include a conversation with the filmmakers and top talent.

Popular film critic Pete Hammond hosts both Cinema Series experiences.

"A Man Called Ove" movie
Record-breaking box office Swedish film "A Man Called Ove" screened at the fall KCET Cinema Series last week. The movie follows a grouchy man who strikes up an unexpected friendship with his new neighbors.

Acclaimed comedy-drama "The Hollars" stars and was directed by John Krasinski. The ensemble cast also features Margo Martindale, Richard Jenkins and Sharlto Copley as a family who must come together under trying circumstances.
