NOVA | Wild Ways
Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on KLCS Around the world, wildlife need to roam for breeding, foraging, and to carry out their traditional migrations — but they are often blocked by ranches, farms, roads, and other human-made obstacles. But now comes new hope for wildlife through an approach called “connectivity conservation.” Some of the world’s most beloved species — lions, bears, antelope and elephants —can be preserved by linking the world’s wildlife refuges with tunnels, overpasses, and protected land corridors. See how animals are on the move again.

Friday at 11:00 a.m. PST on KLCS
See how experiences shape the brain and body together, allowing them to adapt to the outside environment and develop new skills. Plus, learn how the brain forms memories by storing and processing billions of pieces of information every second.
The Great American Read | Who Am I?
Friday at 1 p.m. on KLCS See how books answer the question, “Who am I?” Explore first-person narratives and other ways authors tell stories of characters on personal journeys. From navigating the teen years to discovering our “chosen families,” learn about novels that have helped people find themselves at any age.

Make Adjustments for Those With Special Needs
As any parent or caregiver knows, disruptions to a routine are hard on a child, and they’re especially difficult for children with Autism or special needs. Thankfully, you know your child, you know their routine, and you know how to best support them. We asked experts how else parents can support their children and one tip they had was for parents to create a pseudo-structure that mirrors their normal routines and to keep "active times" the same, moving with your child's rhythm.
