Jazz at LACMA: Gengis Don & The Empire

Celebrate L.A.’s finest jazz musicians with Jazz at LACMA, presented Friday evenings from May through October. This week, join us for a concert with Gengis Don & The Empire.

Drummer, producer and songwriter Gengis Don combines the worlds of hip hop and jazz to create the music for Gengis Don & The Empire. He has worked with a wide array of musicians including Roy Hargrove, Solange, Christian McBride, Marquis Hill, and Steve Turre. He has toured the world, playing at Ronnie Scott’s in London, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and Scullers in Boston.
