This seven-day competitive festival is Academy Award, BAFTA and Goya-qualifying, annually screening hundreds of shorts from 60+ countries. ShortFest & its Short Film Market is one of the most acclaimed shorts showcases in the world, right here in the heart of Palm Springs!

All films are 40 minutes and under with categories such as Animation, Documentary, and Live-Action. The line-up, comprising the 300+ shorts, is curated thematically into programs of approximately 90 minutes in duration which aim to bring together a diverse cross-section of contemporary cinema to you. Filmmakers of various international backgrounds come into conversation with one another in unexpected and exciting ways during Q&A sessions following many of the programs.
