Stephen King's Dollar Babies Shorts
6067 Wilshire Boulevard
For many years, author Stephen King had a “Dollar Baby Program” that would allow aspiring filmmakers to option his stories for adaptation for only one dollar. This event brings together several shorts created under the program: "Paranoid" (2000) is about two young women coping with an alcohol blackout; "Disciples of the Crow" (1983) explores a crow-worshipping cult whose members are children; "Dedication" (2021) tells of a Portuguese worker at a Berlin hotel and the lengths she will go to for her child; "Popsy" (2019) reveals a twisted gambling debt that leads to a child abduction; "Beachworld" (2019) portrays two astronauts struggling to survive on an alien world; and "If You Tell Your Dreams..." (2013) depicts a middle-aged couple and the memory of a recent nightmare.
