Hundreds of Angelenos will hit the sidewalks once again on Saturday, November 22, for The Great Los Angeles Walk 2025 – the annual event (always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving) that dispels the myth that “nobody walks in L.A.” The 20th edition of The Great Los Angeles Walk returns to the street that began this annual tradition back in 2006: Wilshire Boulevard. This year’s Walk will meet at downtown Los Angeles’ Pershing Square at 9 a.m., and then proceed to walk the entire length of Wilshire — taking their time, of course, to see the city and get to know their fellow Angelenos. Along the way, as they hike down L.A.’s grand boulevard, walkers will encounter historic buildings like Bullocks Wilshire and the Wiltern Theatre; attractions such as MacArthur Park and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art; and the remains of L.A. icons that fell to the wrecking ball, such as the Ambassador Hotel and Perino’s. Walkers will pass through a diverse cross-section of the region, including Downtown Los Angeles, Koreatown, the Miracle Mile, Beverly Hills, Westwood and Santa Monica. Attendees will be encouraged to explore the city in a safe way, and follow proper safety protocols. As they walk through Los Angeles, they’ll document what they see and share that experience with others. It’s not a race – attendees are encouraged to take their time, explore, learn about their city and even build community with others. The Walk will end with a celebration at a venue to be announced later.
