Burbank, Calif. – Feb. 3, 2021 – PBS SoCal, Southern California's home for new PBS program premieres, announced today the schedule for season 13 of the Emmy® Award-winning series VARIETY STUDIO: ACTORS ON ACTORS highlighting the 2020-2021 potential Academy Awards® acting categories frontrunners. Co-produced by Variety, the newest season of half-hour specials will offer audiences exclusive, one-on-one virtual conversations between some of today's most acclaimed feature film actors. All four episodes of the new season will premiere locally in Southern California back-to-back on Fri., March 5 starting at 8 p.m. on PBS SoCal. All episodes will stream on pbssocal.org following their premieres and will also be available to watch on the free PBS Video app.

VARIETY STUDIO: ACTORS ON ACTORS will be airing on PBS stations across the nation starting in March, and on the WORLD Channel (check local listings). Additionally, an episode archive has been published at pbssocal.org/variety allowing for viewers to check out past pairings of ‘Actors on Actors’ dating back to the first season in 2014-2015. Variety’s Actors on Actors issue hit newsstands on January 20 with clips appearing on Variety.com.

The new season of the series features conversations and pairings as listed below and will air as follows (subject to change):

Fri., Mar. 5 at 8 p.m. on PBS SoCal (encores on Fri., Mar. 19 at 7 p.m. on KCET and Sun., Mar. 28 at 6 p.m. on PBS SoCal)
Timed to the 30th anniversary of the Oscar® winning film The Silence of the Lambs, the premiere conversation features Jodie Foster (The Mauritanian) with Anthony Hopkins (The Father) and Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal) with Steven Yeun (Minari).

This episode features George Clooney (The Midnight Sky) with Michelle Pfeiffer (French Exit), Zendaya (Malcolm & Marie) with Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman) and Glenn Close (Hillbilly Elegy) with Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island).
