Prop 24 in a Minute: Consumer Privacy

Prop 24 supports the creation of a California Privacy Protection Agency to enforce an expanded version of the state’s consumer data privacy law, allowing consumers to direct businesses to not share their personal information. Proponents say passage would prevent businesses from weakening consumer data privacy rights. Opponents say it’s flawed and burdensome to consumers and businesses.
