Connecting Books to Real Life | Learning To Read | NPT3

Season 2021 Episode 9

When you read books with your child, look for connection points. Readers make connections between what they read and the world around them. For example, try connections to family members: "That character reminds me of your Uncle Juan! They both love telling funny stories." Or, "She's sure a picky eater — just like your little brother."
