Joyce Banda Q & A

Malawian President Joyce Banda was sworn in as president in April 2012, following the death of former President Bingu wa Mutharika. She is the first female president of the African nation and the second female head of state. Banda is also the founder of the Joyce Banda Foundation, which works to make women financially independent.
