Buried for decades deep inside a church in Washington DC, a collection of surprisingly joyful drawings, created in 1947 as a gift of thanks by school children living among the ruins of Hiroshima, are rediscovered and restored for a 2010 exhibition in Japan. There, the drawings are reunited with the original artists and displayed in the very building where they were created.
