Developer to Pay $1M in Huizar Bribery Scandal

City Hall Bribery 
An Arcadia-based subsidiary of a Chinese developer has agreed to pay more $1 million to avoid prosecution for bribing Los Angeles City Councilmember Jose Huizar. Libby Denkmann discusses the pay-to-play scheme tied to the redevelopment of the Luxe City Center Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. 

Cal State Fullerton Layoffs 
A union representing workers at California State University, Fullerton is protesting the university's move to lay off 46 workers on campus. Adolfo Guzman-Lopez reports on how the CSU system is faring with COVID-19-related budget cuts.

Census Continues Through October 
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled again on the Trump Administration’s attempt to shorten the Census count. Caroline Champlin shares the latest.
