EDD, Child Care COVID Outbreak | August 7

Season 1 Episode 205

On the August 7 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss EDD help, a COVID-19 outbreak and race in private high schools.

There is justifiable concern about COVID-19 spreading in child care facilities. KPCC’s Mariana Dale looked into what happened at one facility.

Marina Peña spoke with two young women who started Instagram accounts to amplify issues concerning race at their former high schools: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Marymount High School.

Hundreds of thousands of Californians are waiting on checks from the state’s unemployment office and millions of others now getting a lot less in benefits. Lisa Brenner has some practical tips from KPCC’s How to New LA series.
