School Waivers, Air Quality | August 20

Season 1 Episode 214

On the August 20 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss schools receiving waivers to re-open, air quality, and the upcoming Chicago Moratorium anniversary.

A number of schools in Southern California have been approved by the county and the state to go back in person. Carla Javier has the details on what’s required and which schools have qualified so far.

A refuge for many during this pandemic has been spending time outdoors. Jacob Margolis explains that might not be the best idea due to the current air quality.

We are coming up on the 50th anniversary of the Chicano Moratorium. Chava Sanchez reports on how plans to commemorate these anti-war protests have been adjusted due to COVID-19.
