How LA County Is Aiming To Limit License Plate Tracking

The LA County Board of Supervisors voted to curb how license plate reader data is stored and used, calling for training, 60-day deletion limits and restrictions tied to immigration enforcement. The sheriff’s department said it will review policies, while city police are not covered by the vote.
