SoCal Update

On the March 30 episode of “SoCal Update,” L.A. County is asking to be dismissed from a lawsuit over the local homelessness crisis. KPCC Reporter Caroline Champlin explains the background on this case.

A year ago, a group of downtown businesses, residents and housing rights advocates sued the city and county of Los Angeles to demand more action around housing people. The county wants to be dropped because fixing homelessness is the responsibility of the board of supervisors and it has no jurisdiction over Skid Row.
