Ramsess' Portraits Honor Historic Figures in Black History

Ramsess is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Leimert Park whose portrait work in textile, glass, mosaic and pen honor prominent Black figures throughout history — from trailblazing artist and performer Paul Robeson to Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court. Ramsess' work has been displayed throughout Los Angeles from the Skirball Cultural Center to Art + Practice in Leimert Park.
