2019 Spring KCET Cinema Series Opens with Screening of 'Under the Eiffel Tower'

Following a screening of "Under The Eiffel Tower," actor Judith Godrèche attended a Q&A hosted by Cinema Series host Pete Hammond. In this romantic comedy, a middle-age man who's having a midlife crisis tags along on his best friends' family vacation to France. In short order he falls for not one, but two women. The first is his friend's 24-year-old daughter. The second is a beautiful French woman who sparks a new romance and life possibilities. By American independent filmmaker Archie Borders. As a native of Louisville, Kentucky, Borders incorporates pride for his home state into all of his work. Each film of his, prior to this one, has taken place in Kentucky but this is the first one where a Kentuckian goes abroad…leaving their home environment in a classic “fish out of water” scenario where comedy ensues.

Judith Godrèche has been acting since the young age of fourteen. Her film credits include in La Fille de 15 Ans, The Man in the Iron Mask, Ridicule and The Overnight. Godrèche co-wrote her breakout film, La Fille de 15 Ans. She also co-wrote La Desenchantee and in 2010, she wrote, directed and produced the film Toutes les filles pleurent.

Godrèche can be seen in the upcoming drama The Climb, directed by Michael Angelo Covino, which explores the lifelong friendship of two men.
