Born This Way Screening Event and Panel Discussion at Downtown Public Library

A special screening of the documentary BORN THIS WAY was held on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at the downtown LA public library followed by a reception catered by Patina. KCET and Link TV partnered with Frontiers Media to host a panel discussion about the documentary moderated by reporter Karen Ocamb that included panelists Congressman Adam Schiff, the film's director Shaun Kadlec, Cedric Tchante from the film, and Program for Torture Victims Clinical Director Carol Gomez. BORN THIS WAY is the award-winning 2013 Outfest Grand Jury Documentary winner and official selection of the Berlin Film Festival addressing LGBTQ rights in Africa. Directed by Shaun Kadlec and Deb Tullmann, BORN THIS WAY takes place in Cameroon, where homosexuality is punishable with a five-year prison sentence. The television broadcast premiere of the film was part of December's Link Voices documentary lineup.
