A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE | Official Trailer | Netflix

The film is told through the eyes of those working at the highest levels of government, as they confront the threat of annihilation, "The House of Dynamite" is an electrifying, emotionally wrenching portrait of humanity in extremis and decision-making under unimaginable pressure.

Tense, precise, chilling, the film completes what award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow describes as an “unofficial trilogy” alongside The Hurt Locker (2008) and Zero Dark Thirty (2013), exploring her fascination with the military industrial complex, and its terrifying vulnerabilities. The film premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, where it earned a 13-minute standing ovation.

Immediately following the screening, Deadline’s chief film critic Pete Hammond, who can also be seen on PBS SoCal's Must See Movies, moderates an in-person Q&A with actor Jonah Hauer-King, composer Volker Bertelmann, and casting director Susanne Scheel.
