Alice Ryley + Big Deaths - Opening Night

Alice Ryley + Big Deaths
The Church at Heritage Square Museum
3800 Homer St
Los Angeles, California 90031
Friday, November 7, 2025 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Source/Filter returns to Heritage Square Museum for another unforgettable immersive Halloween experience. The evening begins with Big Deaths—a haunted house-style tour of operatic murder scenes, with each vignette unfolding in a different room of Heritage Square’s historic homes. Audiences will then make their way to the museum’s eerie Victorian church for the West Coast debut of Michael Ching’s haunting opera Alice Ryley—the tragic true story of the first woman hanged in colonial America, whose ghost is said to haunt Savannah’s town square to this day. Together, these works create a cinematic fusion of ghost stories, historical drama, and operatic spectacle.
