Explore Desert Dreams and Coastal Currents after hours with Amy Scott, Executive Vice President of Research and Interpretation and Curator of Visual Arts, at the Autry. This special evening program offers a unique opportunity to experience the exhibition from the curator’s own perspective.

7:00 p.m.
Amy Scott will lead a guided walk-through of the exhibition, offering an in-depth look at the American West’s evolving identity—from the romantic landscapes of the Taos Society of Artists to the bold, urban visions of contemporary California painters.

She will share insights on the featured artists, including Pablita Velarde, Maynard Dixon, James Doolin, Emmi Whitehorse, Harry Fonseca, and Carlos Almaraz, and discuss how their work reflects themes of tradition, transformation, and place.

After your tour, enjoy extended evening access to the galleries.
