A Pre-Concert Lecture begins at 4:15pm. At this concert, Beach Cities Symphony will showcase the next generation of exceptional young musicians, four Music Teachers' Association of California, South Bay Branch, 2026 Scholarship winners. In addition, Beach Cities Symphony will play the Masquerade Suite from music to Lermontov’s drama by Aram Khachaturian.

Andrew Choi (age 15, piano, student of Joseph Keel) will perform Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16 - III. Allegro moderato molto e marcato – Quasi presto – Andante maestoso.

Saya Nishimura(age 17, violin, student of Gail Mellert) will perform Pablo de Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen (Gypsy Airs), Op.20.

Oscar Zhang (age 10, violin, student of Elmer Su) will perform Charles de Bériot's Scène de Ballet, Op. 100.

Sophia Zhang (age 16, violin, student of Elmer Su) will perform Edouard Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole, Op. 21 - I. Allegro non troppo.
