The altars are the heart and soul of this festival and aside from our main community altar tent many local businesses and orgs also create an altar stop. Every single year, the Canoga park youth arts center brings ART CULTURE & COMMUNITY ALL IN ONE PLACE with gorgeous themed displays and it’s one of our favorite stops on the festival trail.

If you are coming to the Día de los Muertos Family Festival on November 1st — you HAVE to make a stop at the Canoga Park Youth Arts Center on Remmet Ave. It is literally steps away from Sherman Way and it is not to be missed.

This year they are presenting their Día de los Muertos Old Hollywood Art Exhibit — a stunning showcase of artwork created by the students of local schools and their after-school program. 🎨

And the best part? Free drop-in art workshops open to everyone all day long. Bring the kids!

This is the kind of experience that makes our festival unlike anything else in Los Angeles — culture, youth, art, and community all woven together in one beautiful day with so many leaders bringing free art activities out for the whole family. Much more on this and all of the altars coming soon!
