Join for a screening of Edhi Alice: Take followed by a conversation with the protagonists of the film, Edhi, and Alice, and filmmakers. Edhi Alice is a film project consisting of two feature-length documentaries that are in some ways the same, yet different: Edhi Alice: Take and Edhi Alice: Reverse.
Conceived under the proposition “Transgender is Cinematic,” the project offers audiences a distinctive cinematic experience while fostering dialogue across the community. Edhi Alice: Take begins from the perspective of Alice, the film's lighting director, who has been pushed away from the set as she confronts her own body, and follows the journey of Edhi, another protagonist. The film portrays the relationship between the two characters while continually drawing the viewer's attention to the act of filmmaking itself. Here, the concept of transition extends beyond an individual’s life story, unfolding into a cinematic experience that encompasses relationships, the body, and the perception of space.
