Join us for the launch of Foundations and Futures, the first-ever Asian American and Pacific Islander multimedia textbook. Six years in the making, this milestone marks the debut of a comprehensive, free and accessible online resource dedicated to the history of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.

This dynamic program brings together scholars, educators, students, and community members to reflect on the power of storytelling and the importance of preserving and uplifting Asian American and Pacific Islander histories. Program Highlights:

  • Opening performance by Naya Zamaana
  • Conversation: The Power of Story: We are Legacy Bearers
  • Storytelling activities and community engagement
  • Official unveiling of Foundations and Futures
  • Luskin Lecture for Thought and Leadership Keynote address by Dr. Maya Soetoro
  • Free swag and Asian American & Pacific Islander literature
  • Breakfast refreshments and lunch will be provided. If you are unable to attend, please consider sponsoring tickets for students and K-12 educators.
