Screening and Panel Discussion of Ken Burns Series, 'The American Revolution'

On Thursday, July 17, 2025 PBS SoCal hosted a special screening and panel discussion of the Ken Burns series, "The American Revolution," at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

The evening brought together 165 PBS SoCal donors for a VIP reception and welcomed over 900 guests for the main event. PBS SoCal President and CEO Andrew Russell opened the event with remarks.

Following the screening of clips from the series, the panel was moderated by PBS SoCal’s Chief Content Officer Tamara Gould with director Ken Burns, co-director Sarah Botstein and historian Christopher Brown. The night also included special appearances by actors Adam Arkin and Courtney B. Vance, who lent their voices to the film and Ken Burns fans like actor Ed Begley, Jr.
