The film was written and directed by Academy Award and Emmy nominated director Bill Pohlad, and features original music by Donnie Emerson.

A music aficionado, Pohlad was instantly transfixed by the Emersons' distinctive sound. "The heart of the movie is the music," Pohlad notes. "The song 'Baby' was the Emersons' biggest hit, and it was on a loop in my head while I was writing the screenplay, and that song's soulfulness and raw passion permeates the movie."

Pohlad also shares that the film is about the fragile relationship within a family, and about the highs and lows of pursuing your dreams.

Immediately following the screening, Deadline's chief film critic Pete Hammond, who can also be seen on KCET's Must See Movies, will moderate a Q&A with producer Kim Roth.
