Andy Beta

Andy Beta has been writing about music, art and culture since in 2002, his words appearing in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Texas Monthly, Washington Post, LA Times, The Believer and Pitchfork. His passion for music has meant everything from staging punk rock shows in his living room to digging for Bollywood soundtracks in Calcutta, exploring batida in the projects of Lisbon to making a pilgrimage to Alice Coltrane’s ashram in Agoura Hills. As Albert Ayler once put it, he believes that music is the healing force of the universe.
