BBC Hit 'Death In Paradise' Returns for a New Season on KCET
Season 3 Introduces New Head Detective
Played by Kris Marshall
BURBANK, CA - March 11, 2014 - Bringing
a dose of sunshine back to the small screen, BBC's Death In Paradise returns
for a third season on KCET beginning March 18 at 8 p.m. This highly rated series is a warm, light-hearted
detective drama about an inspector who is assigned to investigate a murder on
the paradise island of Saint-Marie in the Caribbean.
Season 3 opens
with the shocking murder of DI Richard Poole played by Ben Miller (Primeval, Johnny English), an event
which heralds the arrival of new detective DI Humphrey Goodman, portrayed by
Kris Marshall (Love Actually, Death at a
Funeral),
who is quite unlike his predecessor. Disorganized and gawky,Humphrey's rather bumbling and accident-prone ways means he doesn't make the
greatest first impression on Camille, Fidel and Dwayne, who are battling their
grief for their friend, as well trying to catch his killer. Disheveled British
charm, but with a razor-sharp insight into crime solving, can Humphrey win the
team over and prove he's the man for the job?
The season also
stars Sara Martins (Little White Lies), Gary
Carr (Downton Abbey)
and Danny John-Jules (Red Dwarf), bringing together a brilliant cast and mind-boggling
mysteries in every episode of this intriguing detective series.
