Los Angeles, Calif. – November 13, 2025 – PBS SoCal, Southern California’s flagship PBS station, announced today a new one-hour food documentary and second season of the digital series REBEL KITCHENS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. The series, produced in partnership with acclaimed culinary publication Life & Thyme, dedicated to documenting global food culture, pulls back the curtain on a new breed of culinary rebels: chefs who’ve rejected the traditional playbook. From nomadic street cooks and popup concepts, to reimagined dishes that challenge the status quo, these SoCal cooks fuse flavors in unexpected ways. The new season includes Highland Park pastry Chef Ellen Ramos, Naples-raised Chef Daniele Uditi in the West Adams area, Turkish-born Chef Okay Inak in downtown LA and San Juan Capistrano’s Chef Daniel Castillo. All four episodes of REBEL KITCHENS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA will have a back-to-back, one-hour television broadcast premiere on Mon., Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. PT on PBS SoCal with an encore airing Tues., Dec. 16 at 8 p.m. PT on PBS SoCal Plus. Viewers can stream all four episodes separately for free on the PBS app and on PBS SoCal’s website starting Mon., Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. PT, with new episodes dropping weekly on Mondays on PBS SoCal’s YouTube channel.

REBEL KITCHENS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA episodes are as follows (subject to change):

“Sora Craft Kitchen by Okay Inak”
