PBS SoCal Director of Program Development and Executive Producer of National Productions Elected to Television Academy Board of Governors
LOS ANGELES, January, 19, 2017 – PBS SoCal KOCE announced that Brenda Brkusic, Director of Program Development and Executive Producer of National Productions, has been elected as one of two new Los Angeles Area Branch Governors, serving on the Television Academy’s Board of Governors. She will serve a two-year term.

A seasoned television executive with more than 15 years of experience in program development and production, Brkusic has received seven Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards, three CINE Golden Eagle Awards, eight Telly Awards, two Golden Mike Awards, and an International Documentary Association Distinguished Documentary Achievement Award Nomination, in addition to numerous honors including being named a Successful Young Entrepreneur and Business Executive and Dynamic Woman To Watch, by Orange County Metro Business Magazine.
Brkusic was elected by the members of the Los Angeles Area Branch of the Television Academy, composed of professionals working at local television stations that produce broadcast news, informational programming, and public access and entertainment programs serving the greater Los Angeles area of Southern California. Prior to this election, she served four years on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Area Branch.
In this role, Brkusic will review and approve applications for membership within that branch, organize member events, consider policy, programs and initiatives for Los Angeles based members, and be instrumental in helping with the administration of the Los Angeles Area Emmy® Awards.
