June 30, 2014 - KCETLink won the first place award in the television

documentary category for its award-winning local news program,

SOCAL

at the 56th Annual SoCal Journalism Awards presented by the Los

Angeles Press Club.

The winning report, SOCAL CONNECTED: "L.A. EXPERIMENT" details the handling of sexual misconduct of priests in

experimental program that placed abusive priests in desk jobs in the Diocese or

helped them find employment throughout the city.
