David Morris & Dame Sian Phillips on Rudolf Nureyev
Rudolf Nureyev is considered the greatest male ballet dancer of his time and was the jewel in the Soviet cultural crown during the Cold War. His then defection while on tour in Paris came as a huge blow to Russian prestige. Nureyev’s life and career is chronicled in a new documentary and Christiane speaks with its co-director, David Morris, and its narrator, veteran actress Dame Sian Phillips.
