How the Atomic Bomb Redefined Geopolitics — 80 Years On
This week marks 80 years since the US dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki — killing an estimated 200,000 people. Historian Garrett Graff's new book "The Devil Reached Toward the Sky" draws on hundreds of first-hand accounts to present an oral history of the bombings. He joins Walter to discuss the scientific, political and deeply personal implications of the beginning of the Atomic Age.
