Trevor Project: End of LGBTQ+ Suicide Hotline Could Be “Life and Death”
The Trump administration recently announced it would axe funding for a crucial suicide prevention hotline, saying it encourages "radical gender ideology." The Trevor Project calls this a “devastating" blow for the LGBTQ+ community. The hotline has provided help to as many as 1.3 million young people since 2022. Mark Henson is Director of Federal Advocacy and Government Affairs at the organization.
