US Senate Passes Anti-Asian Hate Crime Bill

Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii is one of the lead sponsors of new legislation to stop anti-Asian hate crimes. In 2012, Hirono became the first Asian American woman elected to the Senate, and is currently the only immigrant serving there.
