What Happens to the Children Left Behind When a Parent is Taken by ICE?
An ICE shooting in NY brings fresh backlash and protests across the city. A young father was shot by an ICE agent last week in view of his five-year-old son. The case puts a spotlight on how ICE arrests impact the children caught in the middle. According to the Brookings Institution, some 35,000 kids have had both parents detained or deported. The Atlantic's Caitlin Dickerson joins the show.
